I’ve been wriitng seriously for about 10 years. But to be honest, I’ve been a writer since I was old enough to hold a crayon or a pencil in my hand. Walls were my first target, but I quickly learned that I wasn’t supposed to be using them to get my message across.
Now I write via the computer and live more or less with my laptop as an appendage as familiar to me as my arms or legs. Ben, my cranky cat, long ago gave up on the idea of trying to nest in my lap since the laptop always seems to be there taking up valuable real estate.
I write a humorous mystery series set here in Richmond, Virginia. After spending over a decade working in mental health, I thought it would be fun to create a character with some of the same experiences I’ve had.
Like Becca Reynolds, my heroine in The River City Mysteries, things happen to me that don’t happen to other people. I use my “misadventures” to amuse the reader.
The first book in the series is available now on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Smashwords.
